Crawl PPD fetches specifications and prices directly from manufacturer websites and authorized retailers. We do not invent lab tests, estimate price ranges, or guess stock status.
How We Verify
Specifications
We fetch AHAM PPD, saturation PPD, minimum operating temperature, and other technical specifications directly from manufacturer datasheets and product pages.
Pricing
Street prices are fetched from manufacturer websites (AlorAir, AprilAire shop) and authorized retailers (Sylvane, domyown.com, amgair.com). We record the fetch date and source URL. We do not invent price ranges.
Stock Status
When a retailer reports "out of stock" or "no longer available," we report exactly that. We do not guess availability.
No Affiliate Influence
This site is not enrolled in affiliate programs. All product links use rel="nofollow". Recommendations are based solely on specifications matching the use case.
Data Sources
Manufacturer Specifications
AHAM PPD, saturation PPD, minimum operating temperature, pump specifications, filter MERV ratings, noise levels, and warranty terms are fetched from:
- AlorAir official product pages and specification sheets
- Santa Fe (Therma-Stor) product datasheets
- AprilAire official shop and technical specifications
Street Prices
Current retail prices are fetched from:
- Manufacturer direct sales (alorair.com, shop.aprilaire.com)
- Authorized retailers (Sylvane, domyown.com, amgair.com, flexomeric.com)
Each price includes the source URL and fetch timestamp. We do not use affiliate links. All product links include rel="nofollow".
Stock Status
When a retailer reports "out of stock," "no longer available," or specific availability constraints, we report exactly what the retailer states. We do not estimate restock dates or suggest alternative channels without verification.
What We Do NOT Do
- No fake lab tests: We do not claim to have tested units in a laboratory or "testing facility."
- No invented crawl PPD: Crawl spaces are cooler than AHAM test conditions (80°F/60% RH), so output will be lower. We report manufacturer AHAM ratings and note this limitation — we do not invent "crawl space pint tests."
- No price bands: We show actual current prices with source URLs, not ranges like "$900-$1,200" without attribution.
- No urgency tactics: No fake stock counters, no "only 2 left," no countdown timers.
- No affiliate influence: This site is not enrolled in affiliate programs. Product recommendations are based solely on specifications matching the use case.
